The Southern Dairy Hub (SDH) has welcomed experienced agribusiness leader Greg Delaney as Acting General Manager.
Greg started in the role on 13 July and will work with the Southern Dairy Hub three days a week through to December.
Southern Dairy Hub Board Chair Simon Flood said Greg brings extensive leadership experience across the agribusiness and rural sectors, with a proven track record in operational excellence and organisational change.
"Greg has held senior leadership roles across some of New Zealand's largest agribusinesses. His collaborative leadership style and strong background in strategy, operations and business improvement make him an excellent fit to lead the Hub during this next phase."

Greg's appointment provides continuity for the Hub as we continue to deliver practical research and demonstration insights for our farmers, partners and all our stakeholders."
“As we continue to work with our partners and local farmers on understanding the best options for the future strategy for the Hub, Greg will bring a steady pair of hands, and with his continuous improvement mindset, I know he will work well with both the team and the Board”, said Simon.
Greg most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Road Transport Logistics. Prior to that, he held several senior executive roles with Ballance Agri-Nutrients, where he led large-scale operations, supply chain, logistics and business improvement programmes.

The Southern Dairy Hub's 349-hectare demonstration farm combines dairy farming with leading research focused on improving environmental, animal and business outcomes for southern dairy farmers. Its work supports practical, science-based decision making that helps farmers respond to the unique opportunities and challenges of farming in the lower South Island.
